Despite an incredibly windy night on Thursday, we got up early to greet the dolphins of Monkey Mia directly at 7:45 am. By the way, we saw our first live kangaroo on the way there...almost like in Australia! 😉
Once we arrived, we immediately saw the first dolphins near the beach, which actually stayed there until noon. A great experience!! The turtle, which swam around so relaxed, was Flo's absolute highlight! He loves turtles!
Then we just lay on the beach, continued to watch the dolphins (and the turtle!!), sunbathed, enjoyed a cup of coffee on the beach under the palm trees, watched the children chasing seagulls, and enjoyed life and our vacation. Wonderful!!
When we - both slightly sunburned - were on the way back to Denham in the afternoon, we spontaneously made two stops, one of which we nominated to enjoy the sunset...once again a fantastically beautiful moment.
The rest of the journey back was amazing again: countless (baby) kangaroos and emus presented themselves to us - sometimes incredibly well camouflaged. We took some amazing photos and videos right by the road and even while they were crossing the road.
In the evenings, you're so exhausted from the day...it's incredible! But it's nice...((-:
Take care, Bryan!
