If you don't have any problems, you create some !!!!!!!!
After getting into a taxi with Confucius and returning to Taipei 101, suddenly my iPhone was gone.
That was quite a shock. What do we do now?
We first went to the taxi stand and talked to the drivers, but if they don't understand the destinations, how would they know what we wanted.
The discussion went on for a while, until a young Chinese man offered to help as an interpreter. He was very nice, well-groomed, and later it turned out that he has a friend in Hanover.
So, we all talked to the taxi drivers without success. There was also a credit card in the iPhone case that needed to be blocked. For such cases, Daniela is a specialist. So, we called her, but didn't realize that it was 12 o'clock in Taipei, but Germany was just waking up. In any case, it was taken care of an hour later. Thank you, Daniela.
The young Chinese man, named Jimmy, had by then gone with us to the police station and everything was recorded there. Again, no English, but very keen. A lot of video recordings of the taxi arrivals were analyzed, but with buses often standing in front, localization was not possible.
In any case, I have a report about the loss. The story went on, but we went out to eat first, with chopsticks. There are no knives and forks. But it tasted good.
Anne then briefly went through the shops, but of course, she didn't have real peace either.
Then we went out to the taxi stand again, where, once again, a young Chinese woman interpreted for us. We went to every taxi, Anne did that with the Chinese woman, and I opened every back door and looked to see if my phone was on the floor.
The people and the taxi drivers must have thought we were making a movie.
Meanwhile, Daniela had logged into iCloud in Germany and she could track and see the phone, but of course not precisely, and with 50 taxis, well, hopeless.
We then also did the tracking directly ourselves, but it didn't lead to any success either.
We then gave up and went back to the ship.
For security reasons, I decided to erase the iPhone. We could see exactly where it was, but didn't have access.
So, Daniela was once again the helper in need and erased the iPhone from Germany.
And now the conclusion of the story, there are no pictures today because the phone is lost.
I have learned a lot from this case in terms of security, but it would be better not to lose it. I have to go through this alone and can't blame anyone for it.
By the way, I still have the previous version of the iPhone as a replacement, but I have to set up the phone again.
Tomorrow there will be pictures again .................
(Because the Wi-Fi on the ship is so slow, I can't upload Anne's pictures)
