We spent the night wonderfully on a parking lot somewhere in the middle of nowhere and drove to Uppsala after breakfast. The first university city in Sweden. Former seat of the Swedish kings and today a cozy university city with flair.
But first we spent a lot of time in the pompous cathedral. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful we have seen so far. It appeared very similar to St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague. At least from the inside.
Afterwards, we went for a little stroll in the city. We left the castle, which is also very big, on the right. Because it is rather unspectacular. Instead, we walked through the center, which shows strong architectural contrasts but is designed with a lot of love.
After a little refreshment, we drove towards Stockholm. Completely the opposite of Uppsala, big, loud, crowded. But first we checked in at the campground. Let's see what Stockholm has in store for us tomorrow.
