Next, our journey takes us by train to Prachuap Khiri Khan... a very cute and charming place, we think! Few tourists, beautiful spots to explore with a scooter, and great markets with delicious food... unfortunately, the monsoon hit us hard and Mine, with the heavy backpacker on her shoulders, naturally slipped on the slippery road 😂 ... it rained from the moment we arrived until the next afternoon, including thunder and lightning... well, that's life ;)
Our homestay Baan Klang Soi is great and we had a fun time with the owners Ole and Poo, enjoying a few whiskey sodas (we had beer) ... we also met a cool couple from the Netherlands, Anna and Danny, with whom we had a great time exploring the city (Thank you for the great time guys :))!
There's an old military base, "Wing5", which has one of the most beautiful beaches in the area and surprisingly, it houses cute monkeys... it's a bit strange because at the gate you have to hand over your passport and sign a guestbook, but it's also a fun experience :). To the south, there's a small fishing village that borders the Beach Forest "Khao Ta Mong Lai"... the colorful fishing boats in the water are simply gorgeous, as well as the vegetation along the shores with bamboo bushes and various plants. Unfortunately, we couldn't climb to the top of the hill without a guide... maybe next time ;) (Funny side note: a 20-year-old German boy once climbed up there alone and couldn't get back down... he had to spend the night there and was airlifted down the next day by a helicopter 😂).
We're doing great and enjoying every moment of our trip!
Tomorrow, we're moving on... keep on rolling! 🤙🏼
