In contrast to Colonia, I was relatively disappointed with my next stop, Montevideo, although I was already warned by friends that there is hardly anything special to see there and the city is not convincing with its beauty. On the day of my arrival in the capital, it was also pouring rain. But to not waste this day either, I went out with Leo, a friend I met on the bus ride from Colonia to Montevideo, who happened to have booked a night at the same hostel, and he gave me a 'private tour' of the city because he already knew his way around.
