Pippi Longstocking 2.0

After coolly announcing Port Elizabeth in the last blog post, I must unfortunately say in retrospect that I didn't like the city very much. Nevertheless, I managed the days well and also found some beautiful places on the beach of PE on my last day.

After PE, I went to Storms River. A place I had never heard of before. I had randomly booked three nights in this small town near the Tsisikamma National Park. The hostel I chose turned out to be a lucky find 😃. The hostel was very quaintly furnished and there was practically a half zoo like Pippi Longstocking 😂. Besides cats, dogs, horses, and a goat, there was also a little monkey who always kept people on their toes. The owner of the hostel told us that he had bought the little monkey at a market about three weeks ago... he was probably supposed to end up in someone's pot...

The absolute highlight for me was the first night in the hostel. After a cat had snuggled up to me in the middle of the night, the monkey also climbed into bed with me in the early morning 😃😂. A truly unique moment!

When I wasn't busy petting animals, I was hiking and mountain biking during those days🙂.

Currently, I am in Plettenberg Bay. It is also a really beautiful place with beautiful beaches and hiking opportunities. Yesterday, I went hiking in the Robberg Nature Reserve. It was really exhausting in some places because, for example, at some points, you had to climb and it was sometimes steep uphill, but it was definitely worth it for the great views!

I still have about three weeks left in South Africa before I go to beautiful Florida ☺️. I already have more travel plans for the next few months as well. So, after Florida, I will go to Hawaii for two weeks. I will spend Christmas and New Year's under the sun in Mexico and in early January, I will go to Chile 😃.
