Day 19 - Great Ocean Road

Uñt’ayata: 24.12.2017

After successfully completing the hike through the canyon, we finally drive to the Great Ocean Road. It is comparable to the Route 66 in America in terms of being a tourist attraction and popular. It starts in Torquay and ends just before Allansford. We are doing things a bit differently and starting from Allansford. There are so many amazing spots to see along the Great Ocean Road. We tried to stop at each one, but it was not possible. The Gt Oc Rd also takes a detour through the forest and you can take a walk through the rainforest. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time for that.

As the sun sets, we end up in Lorne. A beautiful place, not far from Torquay. Unfortunately, all the campsites are already closed and camping is not allowed at the beach car parks. So we just join another camper and set up our campsite right in the city center on a parking lot.
