Time to say goodbye...

Uñt’ayata: 22.09.2024

Things are getting emotional. Three days ago, the first farewells began from colleagues with whom I will no longer share shifts. Since packing my suitcase was on the agenda for after work today, I took the opportunity yesterday evening for a little personal farewell. I took the bus to the center. However, due to a concert at the arena, everything was completely overcrowded, and I just got myself an ice cream and quickly left again. So I ended up heading back to the hotel earlier than planned, and I went for dinner at a nearby trattoria. Of course, I had to have spaghetti – what else would a farewell dinner be? (To reassure all the other pasta addicts, there were noodles again today😊) A good book, an Aperol, a few conversations with the waiters, and the evening was almost over. As a farewell, I got a homemade limoncello, and as delicious as it was, it was also quite sticky. It's almost a shame because way too much remained in the glass. It’s hard to believe, but an exciting and wonderful time is coming to an end, one that I will definitely never forget. And so much has happened during this time: It has been a time full of new impressions and experiences, new friendships, and many culinary delights – I even started drinking coffee lately. I hope to return soon, but first, I need to close my suitcase and say goodbye.

Arrivederci bella Italia!
