Koh Phangan — perfect place to do nothing

Uñt’ayata: 22.03.2024

We've been here on Koh Phangan for two days now and I quickly realized that I had completely misjudged the island.

On our previous trips, and there have been quite a few, we have always given the island a wide berth. So we thought it was loud, crowded and way too touristy.

But that is by no means the case. At least not at Thong Nai Pan, where we are currently staying. It is quiet and idyllic here. Of course, this is no longer an insider tip and of course you meet a lot of Europeans here. But the bay, the calm sea and the jungle in the background alone are pure relaxation for us.

The perfect place to do nothing. And that's what we're currently doing: nothing. Lying under the trees on the beach, swimming in the sea and watching Kian grow.

He can now sit freely on his own and no longer falls over. So he was able to splash around in the sea alone for the first time.

He also tries to get up. Pulls itself up above everything and has been doing it for a few days. Sometimes he even takes a few steps to the left and right. Crazy how time flies.

I'm so proud of him and at the same time a little wistful... he was just a mini baby.

By the way, Kian is the relaxed one here again. It seems as if he also feels particularly comfortable in Thailand. He has eliminated a daytime nap without any major problems and now only sleeps twice a day. But 2 hours or sometimes even a little more.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that we feel very comfortable and could stay here for quite a while.
