2.50h- in the middle of the night, the phone rings! Who else could it be but the tax consultant?!?
Today we got up earlier, after all we have another stretch of road ahead of us. But first, we have to get the compact lock ready to travel. Everything, and I mean everything, has to be stowed away (thankfully we have the bathroom!) and the wastewater tank also has to be emptied.... but it works without any problems! The doll can do that👍!
And off we go! Via Nelson and Motueka, we head to the Golden Bay. The route is incredibly beautiful. Our sister-in-law Nicole would particularly appreciate the last part! The road winds through the mountains, with an abyss always within reach. 2 short stops along the way, including a walk to the viewing platform.... the view is breathtaking!! We zoom along.... I'm relaxed, and the doll is too most of the time...
In Pohara we settle into our beachfront camping site...but the view of the beach is obstructed by vegetation. That's why we carry our camping chairs to the beach.... it's beautiful! And the water is not that cold (the receptionist claimed it was 18 degrees).
Today we not only have to cook, but also do laundry.... the result is not quite convincing, especially the performance of the dryer leaves something to be desired.... the compact lock will probably turn into a wetland....
As beautiful as the place is, the lighting is terrible.... and what's actually going on with the people here???? It's 10:30 PM and everyone has gone into their hiding places.... it's a mild evening..... 2 hours later, we also go to bed.
