All beginnings are difficult

What a day! Woke up at 4, checked in at 7, went to the wrong gate, escorted by the police to the right one... I experienced it all and still had German ground under my feet.

But the flight itself was without any complications. On the contrary. I sat comfortably in the first row and enjoyed the legroom. When the pilot started the landing and the sun of Portugal shone in my face, my head started working... WAIT A MINUTE.... Foreign country, 235 km to walk, Keule what are you doing here in the name of all gods? Well, now there was no turning back, so I started walking right away.

The signs and I needed a few kilometers to get on the same page. Here and there I had to use maps for help. But it's going.

It was a tough first day. The watch says that I walked 25 km. I'm satisfied!

One more funny story: At the airport, I forgot to organize something to drink, so I was on tour for the first 15 km without any fluids. In the end, I was able to buy 2 bottles of water in a restaurant in a designer outlet. The looks of the customers were great! :D
