On Wednesday evening, I drove to the next beach destination - Mazunte. The place seemed quite full, but there was a free bed in the 3rd hostel. The sight of a black tarantula on the hostel's exterior wall left a lasting impression 🕷
The next day, I took an early morning trip to the neighboring village of Ventanilla to take a boat tour through the mangrove lagoon. After a short walk on the beach, we boarded the motorboat and set off. In addition to all the cool trees, we also saw crocodiles, iguanas, and many birds. About 1 hour later, I made my way back to Mazunte on foot and by jeep. There, I checked out the beach, the temperature of the water was pleasant, and the coconut at the beach bar was delicious. In the evening, I took a stroll up a hill called Punta Cometa, where I enjoyed the sight of the sunset.
On Friday, I realized that my stomach wasn't as thrilled with the Dobladas (similar to Tacos) from the night before as I was, so I spent most of the day at the hostel.
The next day, I was feeling a little better and went to the neighboring beach in Zipolite. On Sunday, I first visited the turtle center and only went to the beach in the afternoon. In the evening, I learned to play 'The Pink Panther' on the guitar from hostel friends 🎸
