Mallorca is the largest island in Spain. The island is filled with beautiful bike paths, hiking trails, authentic towns, scenic coastal rides, secluded coves, long sandy beaches, limestone and mountains, wineries, and tons of fresh produce to enjoy. Below is a list of things you can do to experience Mallorca affordably.
The heat of the tourist season on the island is considered from early July to mid-September. This time offers hot, sunny weather that sets travelers up for beach relaxation when booking a trip to Mallorca. The rainy season is considered from late September to November, however, rainfall is more occasional and short-lived. This season should be considered when deciding to travel to Mallorca.

Plan your Mallorca trip well

Travelers should be supported with sunscreens and sprays, as the risk of getting sunburned is quite high even during a cheap Mallorca city tour. Beach recovery should also be considerable and certain preventive measures should be observed. When sunbathing, a hat is a must as it prevents sunstroke.
On the island, there are various hotels and inns with different prices. In general, the most expensive hotels are located in the capital of the island, so you cannot experience a cheap Mallorca vacation. Cautious tourists prefer to settle in the suburbs of Palma or in neighboring towns and visit the capital for tours and hikes.
Among the gastronomic establishments, you can find both upscale restaurants and small, inexpensive cafes. The small cafes offer the most attractive prices while maintaining the highest quality of the dishes served, deserving the highest praise.

Enjoy a cheap Mallorca vacation with many extras

Travelers should keep in mind that the locals like to eat late. So local restaurants only start serving dinner at 9:00 pm. Good service should be rewarded with a tip. Ten to 15% is absolutely sufficient. In small restaurants and cafes, you can round up the bill to a round sum.
The best public transport in Mallorca is a bus. The fare is paid directly to the bus driver. The cost of a trip depends on its length. Therefore, you should indicate the final destination of a trip to the bus driver.
If there is one thing we definitely recommend, it is to travel affordably in Mallorca by renting a car. There is so much more to discover on this island than the beach in front of your resort! Although there is a bus system that works perfectly, it does not allow as much flexibility as a rental car does.
Hiking trails, sea views, mountain scenery, cliff walls, and sparkling lakes will be just some of the things you will encounter on your affordable Mallorca travel. Leave early in the day and allow yourself at least an hour to reach your destination as you will stop more than once as traveling in Mallorca is exciting and always involves many unplanned stops! The roads are sometimes narrow but all are well-paved. Keep your camera ready to take beautiful photos!

Book Mallorca travel with beautiful day trips

Arriving in Port Sa Calobra, keep hiking around the country, the view is not over yet! Light blue water, caves, and even more beautiful scenery await you until you reach a secluded pebble beach. Once you reach this, the effort is over. Now it's time to relax in Torrente de Pareis.
Buy fresh produce at the Santa Catalina markets when traveling in Mallorca. Built-in 1920, Mercat de Santa Catalina is Palma's oldest food market and is the supply source for many surrounding restaurants, cafes, and even superyachts. We were fortunate to be just a few blocks away and enjoyed visiting them daily.
Many companies offer half-day, full-day, or sunset catamaran trips from various parts of the island. Due to the location of Santa Catalina, we decided to spend a whole day on the water with Oasis Catamaran. It was an early start at 9:30 am, and we returned to the marina right in front of Santa Catalina at 3:00 pm. Snacks and lunch were provided, as well as 'free-flowing' wine at lunch and the option to purchase cocktails throughout the day. Sit back, relax, and let the day pass by. Snorkeling and paddleboards are provided.

Experience Mallorca affordably throughout the season

One of the most popular attractions in Soller is the vintage tram ride from the city center to Port de Soller. The tram ride takes half an hour and the schedule changes regularly depending on the season. Alternatively, you can reach Soller from Palma via Tren De Soller, which has been in operation since 1912. The train journey takes about an hour and allows you to discover some of the most scenic areas of Mallorca affordably in old wooden carriages.
