Howdy Germany!
Today we set the alarm for the first time. And of course, today is the day I could have slept longer. 😪 But since we saw yesterday how terribly long the line was in front of the entrance to Arches NP, we had no choice. We arrived at the park around 7:30 am. A large part (Devil's Garden) was closed due to construction. Not sooo bad, since we had to drive very far again today and didn't have time for longer hikes. Yes, it's a blasphemy and in general we also planned too little time for the parks around Moab. 😒
So we drove to some viewpoints, walked a few trails, and could admire great rock formations and arches again. But see for yourself!
Later we headed to Williams for a six-hour drive. Past our 'favorite town' Tuba City and our 'favorite supermarket' where we unsuspectingly shopped during our last vacation and were surrounded by grumpy Indians. But it is also a very poor and barren area here and has nothing to do with the romanticized ideas from various movies.
Tomorrow the Grand Canyon awaits you!
