As it was going to be very hot again, we packed our things and set off. We wanted to have breakfast on the way.
A last look at newly made friends and we continued towards Koblenz, because we have a new long-term destination!
By the way, these are Susi and Kari (a little insider).
Today we wanted to cover 345 kilometers, so we took the motorway. Here I decided to use the motorway as a test track. Oddo doesn't consume more than 9 litres, whether it's flat land or the steepest mountain roads. So we increase the average speed from 110 km/h to 120 km/h and see what happens. Result will follow after the next refuelling.
We want to try out the next Landvergnügen and head towards Limeskastell Pohl in the Taunus region. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is an authentic replica of a Roman timber-earth fort with a watchtower.
Here we were able to park simply in the car park.
We took a guided tour of the fort, which was really interesting. But since we arrived there very early and the place didn't really appeal to us, we drove about 20KM further to Bad Ems. Here there should be a pitch right on the Lahn river. Ok, all federal states have holidays and the pitch only has space for 16 motorhomes. Doesn't matter, we'll give it a try.
What can we say... when we arrived at the pitch, there was ONE motorhome on the pitch and we could choose a fantastic spot.
