16.04.2023 Child care project

We went to kilkenny today. It was beautiful weather since the morning and me and svea were way to warm dressed.

We took a look around the college which was built inside an old chapel as well as some nearby churches. We wanted zo save kilkenny castle for last and first take a walk around town.

So we followed the kilkenny walking trail which in our mind should be a trail that goes around kilkenny. However we kept walking and walking and walking... And at one point realized that the trail doesn't seem to go around kilkenny at all.

Instead it just went straight.

But we also didn't want to turn around and walk thr whole way back so we just kept following kilkenny trail. Which was a beautiful trail but also a bit long.

4hrs later we had reached the end of the walking trail and were standing in the next town.

We were very far away from any bus stop or kilkenny castle.

There wasn't really anyway to get back unless we got a taxi or just used the direct route along the street.

So we decided to take the direct route along the street. Which meant more walking in the very warm and sunny sunlight back to kilkenny.

Of course both of us didn't bring any sun protection with us.

When we finally arrived the castle was of course closed because it was late and no normal tourists would go to the castle at this time.

We had quite a fun time though even without the castle.

The next bus took us back to clonmel and we both were very hungry and tired and maybe a little sun burned. But it was still a good day..

Thankfully we can get up late tomorrow since the kids are back in school and our shift now changes from 13:00 - 18:00
