Day 81: Between Plague and Waterfall

Uñt’ayata: 25.05.2018

Our first stage of today was a whole 1.8 kilometers long. This led us to a museum about Alexander Yersin. The 'museum' consisted of a large room that showed his life, his travels, and his discovery of the plague here in Southeast Asia. After about 1.5 hours in the museum, we continued our way out of the city and along the coast heading north. After about an hour's drive, we reached a waterfall. This consisted, more precisely, of three stages that could be climbed from bottom to top. Here we took a lot of time: we swam in the pools, jumped from the rocks into the water, and enjoyed the massage from the waterfalls on our backs. By the time we left the waterfall, it was already 3 p.m. So we decided to visit a nearby hostel on a peninsula. During the drive across the peninsula to the hostel, the sun was already setting behind us. When we arrived, we didn't really feel comfortable. Everything was perfect, but the people here were somehow not on the same wavelength as us. So we quickly had dinner and retreated to the dormitory for three people. It's just for one night here....
