What a beautiful last outing with the group. We set off early on the boat to the Great Barrier Reef. The journey took two hours, and we enjoyed the tour and saw whales on the way 😍.
At the Great Barrier Reef, we made two stops for snorkeling. I saw amazing corals and some fish. One person from the group even saw a shark at the first stop. She froze at first, but a guide immediately told her that it was harmless.
Too bad, I would have loved to see and photograph it too 😎 🦈.
I took some photos with the underwater camera, but I can't show them here yet.
In between, we also had a delicious lunch and summer caught up with us 😎.
After returning to the fantastic hotel, we enjoyed our last evening at the Italian restaurant and shared our highlights. Now it's time to say goodbye to the group. Well, not completely, three people are staying in Cairns until Sunday, and we are meeting later for dinner 😊.
I have now checked into my hotel for the last 3 nights (unfortunately not as cool as the last one 😉), but definitely good and central to explore Cairns and let the impressions sink in.
Let's see if I book another tour for Sunday...
