KL Bird Park

Uñt’ayata: 07.10.2019

This weekend was a bit more relaxed. On Saturday, I decided to stay in bed and recover from my cold. On Sunday, I decided to visit the bird park. I took the LRT to KL Sentral early in the morning and, this time, I found my way to the park directly! The park consists of four sections, three of which are covered by a giant net, while the fourth section is for birds that cannot fly. Overall, the park is pretty cool, and the birds under the net have plenty of space. Unfortunately, there are also birds that are kept individually in small cages. Maybe there's something specific about them that requires this, I don't know. It's still strange, though. It's really unfortunate for the birds of prey. The owls are all tied to their tree trunks (I have no idea if they're allowed to fly at night, I just hope they are) and there are many eagles in a relatively small enclosure. It broke my heart a little. But maybe I should get some more background information on that. Other than that, it's a really nice area where I finally got a photo of a parrot (I've been wanting that for a long time... it would be even cooler with birds of prey, but I understand the problems!). I also fed a hornbill and watched a pretty cool bird show. In the afternoon, I planned to relax at home, but unfortunately, I dropped my phone in the park and it broke, so I had to get it repaired. The repair went smoothly and quickly, but it still took up the rest of my Sunday. But since I'm pretty lost without my phone here, it had to be done. So, overall, it was a mixed day, and I simply hope that the upcoming days and the next weekend will be more relaxed. Because then it's finally vacation time! And hopefully, I'll get my diving certificate! Stay tuned 😉
