Day 54 to Day 58 Continue to Valparaiso

Day 54 to 58

The trip to Valparaiso was easy. In Santiago we were finally welcomed with English and booking the bus tickets was uncomplicated. From the airport we went to a bus terminal and from there to the city of Valparaiso.

Unfortunately our port was moved at short notice, so we didn't start the onward journey to the port city of San Antonio and spend another 3 days in my favorite city. We've been here for almost a week now. The smell in the alleys is indescribably beautiful and the artistic graffiti on the walls in every street is truly breathtaking. The cabins in the first row to the sea are also beautifully decorated. A slight smell of incontinence and shit-filled pants hits you as you stroll along the huts on the promenade. Between all life there are the sea lions. The poor animals. Maybe they'll fight back at some point.

Laura is still weak this week and is lying in our really comfortable bed, which is a mattress on the floor. But hey. A week - which you didn't need. The cinema was good and fun. Power outages are also on the agenda here.

Today on day 59 we will take the train to the neighboring town. There we will see whether the huts have the same cardboard and wool blanket construction style, including the sterile toilet smell.

Tomorrow we'll continue on the ship - here in Valparaiso - a world heritage city because of its beautiful paintings.

Bye
