Eger (Cheb) is located in the west of Bohemia. The city is very old and has many wonderful buildings and monuments. We had a wonderful day here in December at the Christmas market, which is also highly recommended.
The church is not far from the market square. When you stand in front of the entrance, you can discover a small entrance on the right side of the church. As you can see in the picture. From here you can climb the church tower and enjoy a beautiful view. Access is through a turnstile. I think you needed 1 euro coin for admission (children up to 6 years free).
The sweet tree trunk cakes are made from yeast dough and are a real specialty. You have to try them!
1 day in Eger goes by in a flash and is always worth a trip.
