We have now arrived in Brisbane and found a nice place off the beaten path where we have been for three days.
Our first goal was actually to visit another national park during our journey, but it was pouring rain and it just wasn't feasible to go hiking... However, we discovered a firefly cave nearby and decided to take a little tour. We entered a cave and everywhere we looked, we saw little lights. It was like stars in the sky. ⭐️ Of course, taking photos was not allowed as any kind of light was prohibited. We were then shown a little worm under red light, which I had never seen before. It lights up at the end of its tail, and seeing many of them together was beautiful!
Today, we finally had very good weather and we spontaneously decided to visit the famous Koala Sanctuary, which is comparable to a zoo, except that these animals are kept under very good conditions there. As soon as we arrived, we encountered the koalas. They are incredibly cute! 😁😍 Right after that, we came across a large field full of kangaroos that we were even allowed to feed. I even dared to get closer to them on a cuddle level this time. I didn't want to leave 🙈. Other extraordinary animals like the Tasmanian Devil or crocodiles were also to be found. The 38-dollar investment was worth it and it's something you shouldn't miss when you're in Brisbane!
Tomorrow, we will head straight to the city of Brisbane and then continue our journey 😊.
