We're heading out a little earlier than usual today. Into the Paris rush hour traffic. We decide to avoid toll roads and reach our destination at a snail's pace. At least we get to see all the Decathlon stores and beautiful French villages along the way. The dream of finding a McDonald's along the route is abandoned. Keep pushing... And get annoyed once again by the extended side mirrors. At one point, they almost fall off. Mom has to hold on to them until the next rest stop.
We're here. A small campsite. Unfortunately, very hilly. But there's a pool! With strange bathing rules. No swimming shorts... A problem for the dads. But they can borrow some...
Mom is happy. She can finally do laundry for €2.
Later, we have dinner at the campsite restaurant. An extremely friendly British owner, who even sets up a table for us. The dessert was delicious.
