Hello everyone,
In this post, I want to tell you about a Monday (16.10) that was not at all like a typical mean Monday. One advantage of traveling is that even Mondays can be beautiful. However, our Monday also started early, but if you're fast asleep at 10 p.m., you can also get up well-rested at 7:30 a.m. On this day, we were also really good and fast, and we were already on the road again at 8:45 a.m., even though we had filled about 10 liters of water to have enough drinking water and water for cooking.
On this day, we set off towards Coromandel. Coromandel is a beautiful peninsula with a lot to discover. First, we went to Thames, the gateway to this peninsula, where there is the tourist information and a large inexpensive supermarket. After stocking up on food and information, we set off to explore the area. First, we started walking towards a hike, but after 5 minutes, we should have waded through a river for the first time and there should only be a few trees to see, so we preferred to turn back and enjoy the beautiful weather at the beach. Then we went to a small bay where we enjoyed the view of the water and considered where we should sleep overnight. Lina then found a winery where you can taste liqueurs and wines and, in return, can camp overnight if you buy them. After the liqueurs were very tasty, it was easy for us to buy something. Get ready, when I come back, you can try Feijoa liqueur. And the view from this winery was simply beautiful. After our liqueur tasting, we sat down with two other German campers and had our dinner (wraps and fried eggs on toast). Just after 8 p.m., we all disappeared into our cars because it got dark and cold. I was dog tired that evening and I think I fell fast asleep before 9 p.m...
That sounds like a pleasant Monday, doesn't it?
See you soon,
Your Jessi
