Conclusion Austria

Uñt’ayata: 18.08.2021

One week has passed since we started in Bamberg. Today we arrived in Slovenia with thunderous applause and found a wonderful pitch between the Austrian border and Ljubljana. It's called eco-clamping, but we decided to stay on the neighboring meadow, which only costs ten euros per night.

With a good Slovenian beer in hand (Union), I would like to give a small conclusion about Austria:

Although wild camping is strictly prohibited in Austria, we managed to not pay a single cent for our overnight stays for a week. We almost always had good, quiet places in nature and no one ever approached us (at least not with negative issues). However, due to the discreetly located pitches, we could never extend the awning, but today we finally did it for the first time 😊.
Despite the season we are traveling and the almost always good weather, we were lucky with mass tourism in Upper/Lower Austria and Styria. There were never many people on the hiking routes and peaks we climbed (which is really positive in terms of Corona).

After Basti stocked up with plenty of ham at a butcher near Graz yesterday (he spent at least 30 minutes in this butcher shop, mind you as the only guest, and tried everything from the meat counter :D), we are well prepared to explore Slovenia in the next few days.
