The rain has cleared and the sky is cloudy. The first thing we do in town is buy a new SIM card from Magti. A recommendation for all travelers to Georgia. Works almost anywhere and is dirt cheap with unlimited volume. Then we go to the Stalin Museum. Especially in Gori, many people still revere the Russian leader. The museum employees are enthusiastic and explain everything in detail. The exhibition mainly offers images from Stalin's life, personal items and gifts received during his time as head of government. The next highlight was the abandoned cave city of Uplistsikhe, about 12 km from Gori. As early as the Bronze Age in the 6th century BC. C. the "Fortress of God" was founded and the first caves were carved into the rock. We meet two nice Thuringians who have just come from a tango festival in Stepandsminda. Now the long journey to Kutaisi begins. The first 50 km are still on the motorway, but the rest of the way through the mountains we fight our way along the country road. The new motorway under construction runs parallel. Incredible buildings and, above all, a lot of specialist civil engineering. It's pouring rain, we drive in a column and then the Georgian drivers... We arrive in Kutaisi almost in the dark and find a nice parking space not far from the center on private property. Who do we meet? A young German couple. We end the evening with nice conversations. 7729km
