Garden Route Day 1/2

 Arrival in Cape Town

Today my South Africa adventure begins, a motorcycle trip along the beautiful Garden Route.

But before I share my impressions and experiences, I want to thank my dear wife who made this trip possible and keeps things running at home.

Thank you very much my love, I love you and will of course repay you.

I have been dreaming of this motorcycle trip at the southernmost tip of Africa for many years, and now at 54 years old, the dream is becoming a reality.

Around 12 hours of flight over the entire African continent lies ahead of me. Luckily, South Africa is in the same time zone as Germany, so there is only a +1 hour time difference due to our winter time.

My flight destination is Cape Town, where all tour participants will meet to start the tour together.

According to the organizer, we are 8 tour participants (3 couples and 2 singles) with a total of 5 motorcycles, so a very small and manageable group.

However, I am the only one on my flight from Frankfurt to Cape Town, the other participants come from the north (Hamburg) and the south (Munich) of Germany. Our tour guide has French roots, so it seems like a very

fun group.
