Every day, the extent of the pandemic becomes more apparent. On March 19th, we were supposed to fly from the Dominican Republic to Frankfurt, but the flight, like many others, was canceled. Our mood fluctuates between 'when will we finally be allowed to go home' and 'we are lucky here and the risk of infection is low'. Sometimes we can enjoy the beauty of the surroundings, the fantastic sunsets, the summer feeling, and the encouragement from our landlady, while other times, thoughts about problems and what lies ahead prevail.
