In Paris, everything was fine, Charles de Gaulle is quite huge, luckily we were escorted and found our way to the A380... Dad had reserved great seats, no one was sitting behind us and we had plenty of space.
Worth mentioning were the pretty good meals during the next 10 hours. Maybe not completely French cuisine, but pretty much the best I've had on planes so far.
And then we were there. Welcome to Miami. Big airport, everything went very smoothly and friendly. We had a lot of choice with the rental cars. We decided on a black Dodge Grand Caravan... by the way, they only had those in white, black or blue. But we took one with a nice Florida license plate.
The navigation system is included in the car even though we didn't order it, but thanks for having Roberts with us. Off to Miami Beach to the James Hotel in the Art Deco district. Very playful Villa Kunterbunt. We're getting a simple but very nice large room. At a pleasant 23 degrees, we explore the surroundings. We're in great company here with the LOEWS and Hilton right next door. Unfortunately, it starts to drizzle on Ocean Drive and we end the evening in the hostel next door. Beer n Bed is the motto here and Jelena from Serbia can even explain everything to us in German because she's studying Germanistics.
Mom and I treat ourselves to a margarita and Dad drinks a draft lager. Wonderful... we have arrived... until tomorrow.
