Entered Canada easily by bus. The journey was a bit difficult due to Easter traffic. The Americans wanted to go to Canada and the Canadians wanted to go to the USA. Finally arrived in Vancouver with a 45-minute delay. Unfortunately, no Uber available. We got used to the great Uber service in Portugal and the USA. It would also be a good option for Germany.
First steps along Granville Street, the entertainment district. Tried Buck a Shock (oysters) and Ceasars (Bloody Mary with clam broth). Vancouverites like to party and get high with marijuana. Therefore, there are also many crazy people around. Similar to the USA.
Checked out the city with a Hop on Hop off tour. The presence of the mountains with snow and the Pacific Ocean shape the life and the cityscape. Had the best hot dog in the world, Japa-Dog, an Asian combo with Kobe, Kimchi and Nori.
Good prices, the Canadian Dollar is slightly cheaper than the US Dollar. Lots of craft beer and fish, steaks and seafood. The third largest Chinatown in North America is very prominent, as are the Chinese in general in the city.
Happy Easter to all of you!
