Saying goodbye to Merete and her cat Matisse this morning is difficult for me. We had interesting conversations about Denmark, art, and her work as an artist. Merete offers to draw my bike later. Let's see if I accept that.
The path leads past Præstø Fjord, then gently hilly inland to the 50 km distant Køge.
After a short break, I continue briskly with the remaining 40 km to Copenhagen.
I reach Copenhagen around 3 pm and after a shower, I'm on my way in the city. I live in the alternative district of Vesterbrø. Accordingly, there is a lot to see.
I eventually discover the former slaughterhouse, Flæskehal. Now it's a cultural and gastronomy center.
We ate in the wonderful burger joint 'Tommis Bürger Joint' with the children. It's still there, so I decide to eat there today. The burger is just as good as it was back then.
