Georgia - Arriving in Kutaisi

Uñt’ayata: 17.06.2023

Arrived in Georgia and after a few almost relaxing hours of dozing at Kutaisi airport, I got on the first marshrutka to the city and straight to the first restaurant - the food is supposed to be so great...

Well, first there were chinkali and coffee - no milk (well, that's maybe Georgian style?)

Arrived at the hostel and it turned out that after the city of Amman (the city of a million stairs), there are also a few mountains here.

Arrived and it was pompous but unfortunately not so well maintained, but there was a hammock in front of the door and a porch swing with a mountain view.

In the evening, the first shocking moment. I couldn't turn off the gas stove....

The little problem was quickly solved and there's another kitchen in the house.

So I decided to eat out - and what happens? Yes, there's a street food market with live music all weekend. Well, I'm in the right place - that's for sure.

On Sunday, I enjoy the first warm and then rather spring-like Kutaisi from the porch swing and dedicate myself to organizing. Well, then it's time to enjoy some more food and party at the street food market.

Adjarian kachapuri, charoset, vegetable kachapuri, pelamushi, bean balls with lafti, chuchhela

I tried those in the last few days.

It was pretty tasty :)

There was also a bit of electronic music (the city festival with Helene Fischer music can't compete unfortunately)

Next day, off to the coast.

Next stop: Batumi

But before that, a visit to the Green Bazaar to admire and taste all the delicacies of Georgia.

Goal for Georgia:

Experience more time in one country and not travel so fast and of course finally see my dear traveling friends again.
