Depression

Friends,

I don't want to hide from you how beautiful the place was where I stayed that evening. I took advantage of the sunset to take a little walk along Lake Manapouri and look for a place for dinner.

Surprise along the way

Dinner spot - Of course on the biggest of all stones

I also (who would have thought) climbed up this amazing boulder and ate my leftovers from the night before.

These sandflies are really nasty!

And now that I've arrived in the south, I've actually made the acquaintance of these nasty sand flies. These things are so nasty because they're hard to hear and see and people only really notice them when the flies bite. I also find the stings/bites more unpleasant than those of mosquitoes because they itch more badly.

That's a minus point but the landscape and the views make it worth it.

So much for this brief comment and back to the planned article about the Mavora Lakes.

Your Britta
