After arriving in Vent yesterday, we ended the evening with a cozy round in the restaurant.
This morning, Anne, Lilly, and I headed back up the mountain. Unfortunately, Hannah had to take the bus to the hotel in Naturno due to her foot injury. This was not an easy task, as she had to drive seven hours to Italy without a bus schedule and lacking language skills.
Our daily stage started with bright sunshine and pleasant 20 degrees Celsius. By midday, we passed the Ötztal valley and were not far from Ötzi's discovery site. We then continued to the Similaun Glacier, which had an altitude of 3019 m. After a refreshment at the Similaun Hut, we headed towards the final stretch of our tour. After 11 hours of strenuous hiking, we reached our destination. The Italian town of Naturno. Now we are ending the evening at the hotel and trying to process the many impressions of the past week.
See you soon @ Niklas
