Today we wanted to go to Oslo. On the way there, we looked for a disposal station to drain dirty water and refill fresh water. By the way, this is almost everywhere free of charge!
In Oslo, we found a parking space about 30 minutes outside the city center. We took a train into the city.
The cityscape of Oslo combines modernity with historic buildings. First, we headed to Oslo Cathedral - a magnificent building. Then we visited the royal palace. Unfortunately, compared to the Swedish palace, it is not very impressive. After visiting a few souvenir shops and doing some shopping, we had a small lunch. By chance, we came across a presentation of the new tram for Oslo, where free snacks were being distributed. Steffen gave some of it to a poor-looking man who was obviously camping on the street. Unfortunately, you can also see the glaring gap between rich and poor.
At the harbor, beautiful sailing ships were anchored, including an AIDA. From an old military base, we had a great view of the gigantic ship and the harbor.
In a nice children's store, we bought Bruno a new toy, as he was bored with the old one. We strolled through the city center a bit more and then took the train back to the camper. Tomorrow we will leave Oslo heading south.
Probably we will visit Oslo again for a city trip - one day is not enough for this big city.
