Temples, monks and a little place by the river

Uñt’ayata: 08.01.2024

Today is a sunny day in the Laotian royal city of Luang Prabang. At seven o'clock the children walked, cycled or rode their mopeds to school, the market was already busy, the rice farmers in the field and the construction site next to us had started working. We enjoy being guests in the middle of this life and diving deeper for almost three weeks. We look at life here and at home with peace and distance and increasingly ask ourselves where the great dissatisfaction in Saxony comes from.

In the last few months we have traveled to many countries, often sat somewhere and observed life and talked to very different people. The demands of people here are often very manageable, the speed of change around them is very high and yet we rarely experience unrest or displeasure.

We would like to send you the beautiful weather, the singing of the monks or the colorfulness of the markets, but that's not possible yet - so a few pictures to caress the soul and help you relax, no matter where you end up today.

There is still room for a moped
