Chapter 7.2 - Get an overview

11:12am

I'm sitting at the cafe at Đỉnh Ngự Lâm Viewpoint with the Mongolians, the Irish and an Englishman. I went for breakfast and then drove to Buffalo Hostel on my motorcycle. There I met Roisin, Kevin and the British guy Elliot. Then we all met at the viewpoint parking lot with Uji and his wife. Now we're having a coffee, and then we'll start hiking up the mountain.

2:12pm

The viewpoint was very impressive. We went up again, through a forest. Parking costs 10k, entrance fee is 80k. Now we're sitting at the fish restaurant where I was yesterday. The two Mongolians stopped to refuel on the way. Later, friends of the Irish will also join us. Let's see what else we'll do. In any case, enjoy the sun.

5:25pm

Back at the homestay. The beach was still so beautiful. Now we'll shower and play some cards. Kevin, Roisin and their friends didn't make it to the beach anymore... I think I'll stay one more night in Cat Ba because I already like it here. Uji and his wife will join me on the boat tour tomorrow. We'll drive along Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay. There will be kayaking, food and a lot of water. Get ready.

8:36pm

I've eaten and I'm having another beer. Then it's off to bed. Tomorrow we'll get up early for the day trip on the water. The salmon costs 20€. I'll leave around 7:30 with my motorcycle to go to the pickup point. I bet there will be a 1-hour delay again. I don't know if I can find somewhere to eat breakfast. It remains exciting.
