Since we arrived in the morning, we still had the whole day ahead of us, so we wanted to take the bus to our accommodation, drop off our luggage and then head off again to explore the city. The bus was already there, so we could get on straight away and then, strangely enough, the conductor sold us 4 tickets (one ticket each for us and our backpacks) for 20,000 Vietnamese Dong. That sounds like a lot of money, but it's not even 1€.
The biggest item on the agenda, besides eating the first Pho, drinking lots and trying not to fall asleep, was a visit to the War Remnants Museum. There you can see not only the fighter planes and tanks used in the Vietnam War, but also the torture methods used by the French during the colonial period. There are also several exhibition rooms that shed light on various aspects of the Vietnam War (course of the war, Agent Orange, war reporters, war crimes committed by the Americans, etc.). One room is even called "Historical Truth" - Donald Trump must have had an advisory role here.
