Hobbiton Filmset

On Tuesday we visited a very special place: The Hobbiton Filmset. It is built on a large farm, so you can only access the hobbit holes with a guided tour. You take a bus to the caves and are guided around. It is very exciting to hear all the stories. For example, the original set from the Lord of the Rings movies no longer exists. The current set was rebuilt for the Hobbit movies. Unfortunately, you cannot enter the caves as the interiors were only filmed in the studio. However, the Green Dragon Inn, a real bar, is open for you to have a drink. It was very interesting to stand at the filming locations of the Lord of the Rings movies and get an impression. Unfortunately, the weather was not very good; the sun was missing a bit, but it wasn't too bad considering the green and blooming landscape. The visit to Hobbiton was a beautiful trip that immersed us in the paradise world of the hobbits!
