Now heading towards Galicia, as far as I remember it will be a very beautiful route, although quite uphill...
After fighting against the pain yesterday, today the motto was simply to see how far my feet can take me.
The plan was to walk at least 10km, maybe if things go well 15km, so that tomorrow there is a short final ascent...
For the first 10km, I actually took nearly 4 hours, not much progress... I was somehow hoping to rent one of the horses... However, they were all out...
I met several of the pilgrims from the previous days today... including Mike, who was sitting at an alternative hostel playing the guitar and singing along.
We continued walking together and made a plan to collect more trash on the Camino today... we have noticed in the past few days that the amount of litter is increasing. If everyone takes their stuff with them, everything would be fine!
The walking went really well in the second section, so I ended up walking 15km instead of 10km and felt good about it... after the 15km, I stopped at a very nice hostel/bar and got refreshed, even received some hummus to take away.
There were some amazing things to see along the way today... you just have to live with mindfulness...
Tomorrow, I will definitely rent a bike and ride down to Triacastela, it's mostly uphill and I want to take it easy on my shin...
By the way, O Cebreiro is a very beautiful small Galician mountain village!!!
