Just a wet pilgrim is a good pilgrim

It's winter in Portugal, which means it's usually a bit more humid. Our sunny start gave hope, but we were disappointed when we looked out the window this morning.

It was raining cats and dogs. And once again, the motto was: keep going.

We made progress along agricultural trails. Along the way, we encountered a herd of cows who suspiciously stared at us from their dry stable. We seem to stand out.

The destination: Vila Do Conde, a beautiful town with lots of historical remains.

An aqueduct, an old ship, several cathedrals, and simply beautiful old streets.

We prefer to avoid precise historical facts here. It was too wet and we were too tired. There's no BVG or car2go here to take us from A to B. It's all hard legwork.

In the evening, a small tapas dinner and then off to bed.
