The attraction in Wanaka is a tree that stands in the water - I have to take a look at it too. But first I'll use the morning to work.
In the afternoon I set off and after a few meters I noticed that somehow everything was a bit blurry. Did I actually put the contact lenses in? No - so back.🤦🏼♀️
Today is the first time since I arrived in New Zealand that it's warm enough to wear thsirt and sandals. What a day!
At some point I also arrive at the tree in the water. He's not that big, but he has a lot of visitors. The travel guide says that the tree is a popular Instagram motif. Yes, you can see that and he looks beautiful - standing there alone in the water.
But I don't have to spend too much time there. I would like to take another walk around the town. I walk along the promenade and suddenly I see a timeline on the ground. I missed the beginning, but the bar went up to 2009. It recorded world events, New Zealand events and Wanaka region events.
Very exciting. I wanted to read everything, but at some point my neck hurt from looking down so much, so I had to skim through the rest...
