TAILANDIA MARKANA.....

After one amazing month in Cambodia we were heading Thailand with mixed feelings. We still felt a bit nervous cause we still didn't not if we could enter Thailand with Rosy. We have chosen a quiet bad day for the boarder crossing, as it was one of the biggest holidays in Cambodia and we felt like half of the people in Cambodia where travelling to Thailand. But except the chaos at the small boarder caused by far too many people, everything went fine and we crossed the boarder pretty quickly. One first stop we have made in Trat, where we waited till our car insurance was ready to be picked up. Then we made our way to Pattaya where we stayed at a really nice appartment which was owned by a lovely nice swiss man, Walter, whom we met in Lao at a petrol station. We stayed there for one week and just enjoyed the luxury to get everything what we have wanted in the supermarket. Walter and his girlfriend Iu showed us some nice 'insider' places in Pattaya so time passed by really quickly. Then we made our way to Bangkok to buy some things we needed, like a new solar panel, some filters for the car and we even got new seat covers for Rosy, which make it much more comfortable to travel. In Bangkok we also met really nice people that helped us a lot with finding the right parts for the car. Attawat spent one day with us just driving arround in the city and his friend Joe gave us a flat where we could stay during our time im Bangkok. Thank you very much.

After Bangkok we started driving to the south. On the way to Krabi we found some really nice campspots as Thailand was the first country in Asia where we have found camping places in Nationalparks. In Krabi we had to find an electrician cause our solar system was still not working. We found a really nice guy who new everything about solar systems and now it's working better than ever before. After Krabi we took a ferry to Koh Lanta, cause we decided that we have to drive Rosy on an asian island at least once. There we found amazing beaches and breathtaking landscapes and the best thing was that we sometimes had a whole beach for us alone, as it is off-season and hardly any tourists come to the island. One day we decided to make a dive trip to Koh Bida, which belongs to the famous island group of Phi Phi. There we had the luck to see a whale shark. One amazing moment of our journey. After one week on the island and many nice people we met there, we left Koh Lanta and drove to Trang where we again found a nice camping place in a national park. At the last day in Thailand we again met our friends Brigitte and Yvonne, whom we met in China and together we crossed the boarder to Malaysia.
