Bilbao

Bilbao - I have always found the name of this city charming. Now that I am here, I must contradict all the naysayers, because there are indeed many beautiful corners and neighborhoods to see in this industrial and port city. There is the old town with its many narrow and colorful streets, but there are also many modern buildings, bridges, and squares, as well as open works of art everywhere that offer new perspectives. I don't know how many bridges I walked across today, but every time, the view of the Nervion River was worth it, as it winds its way through the city in many bends.

However, I am camping in Gorliz (sounds so East German🤭), on a truly relaxed campsite with the friendliest greeting ever. Within walking distance is a beautiful bay, which was packed yesterday, on Sunday, like it couldn't be worse at Ballermann. But today, on Monday, after my trip to the city, I was able to cool off and relax in the water and on the beach. And the evening sky was different again, as some rain and thunderclouds moved over the sea.
