We can actually sleep in, but for some reason we are all awake at 7 o'clock already.
The birds are chirping outside, the sun alternates with the clouds, and a strong wind keeps blowing from time to time.
After breakfast, we enjoy our 'mandatory quarantine lazy day' in the spacious garden on the sun lounger.
Son is particularly excited when Marion lets 4 out of the 5 house dogs into the garden to 'play'. Now there's something going on!
Lumpi races around the garden with the two Border Collies Jill&Meg, while Labrador dog Candy immediately lies down demonstratively in front of us to be scratched.
Perfect, the children are occupied and having fun with the pack of dogs.
By noon, we realize that we still haven't received the test results.
Hmm... We still have a few hours. No stress...
We spend the afternoon reading and planning our vacation for the next 3 weeks, playing Frisbee in the garden, and checking on the animals from time to time.
The highlight for our daughter is grooming and petting the horses in the afternoon.
Both horses and mule Linda are thoroughly groomed and show their gratitude by rolling around in the biggest dust pile. Hehe.
In the afternoon, there is still no news regarding the Covid test results. I'm starting to worry as we want to fly to Terceira tomorrow.
For dinner, we have giant zucchini with pasta and, to celebrate the day (wedding anniversary), a bottle of wine.
After fun card games, we fall asleep tired once again.
The weather so far has been quite changeable, but it is said to be typical Azores weather (rain, clouds, sun).
We are curious to see what tomorrow brings and when we will finally receive our test results.
In any case, Quinta Velha has been the perfect place for us to 'skip' the quarantine, and Covid-19 had a positive side effect: without the two forced nights on the island because of the Covid tests, we would have never discovered this little paradise of Marion and Dieter!
