We are now in Valkenburg. We have reached the long way to the ASP Adventure Station on foot. A spiral staircase leads us 40 meters underground. The luggage is placed in the corner. The group decides to listen to the tour in English. Brave! But as true Europeans, this is of course no obstacle. The safety instructions are quickly understood. The first one calls the last one by name. The last one answers with Complete. Also dukken and Stop are used as commands. With the bike and the helmet we ride through the sometimes low, sometimes narrow passages of the underground. Individual stations are visited, where the guide explains something about the tunnel system again and again. The tour covers several kilometers. At the end of the way too short tour, we are allowed to search for fire stones. We don't have to be told that twice. The finds are brought to the surface and inspected.
We wait for the bus at the bus stop. A nice man tells us that the bus only runs on Sundays by appointment. The nice lady on the phone tells us that we have to wait an hour. We decide to walk back towards the city. Let's see if it's like this everywhere.
To be continue...
