To make the most of my overpriced family resort, the next morning I packed my things and pushed my bike to the private beach. It was more about the principle for me, being able to say that the accommodation was worth it.
A little later than usual, I continued towards Rimini, where Anna and Tobi had been enjoying their vacation for a few days. I treated myself to a little detour via Ravenna and still arrived in Rimini early in the afternoon. Despite the touristy area, finding a camping site was very relaxed. On my second attempt, I found a very affordable campsite just outside Rimini, with direct access to the beach. Most of the campers here were also campervans, but I was used to that by now.
In the early evening, I picked up the two of them from their hotel. Of course, we had pizza and later enjoyed a few Aperol Spritz at the hotel bar. The evening was definitely entertaining, although later I had to ride the ten kilometers back to the campsite, of course, by bike. Even after the drinks, I managed to slalom through the crowds of partying teenagers on the promenade very well.
For the next day, I had planned a day trip to San Marino (see next entry). So, I extended my stay at the campsite for one more night, allowing me enough time to visit Rimini as well. I liked the old town itself, during the day there weren't many tourists around. Most likely, people come here more for the beach and the bars along the promenade.
