Mui Ne or Trash Ne?!

After the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia, we didn't expect the garbage situation to get any worse, but... unfortunately, yes...

After arriving, we walked directly from our accommodation across the street and to the beach... and then this!

We also walked along the beach for a bit, but the sight didn't really invite us to swim...

puuhh...

However, if you go further to the big resorts, you can see that the beach is mostly kept clean here... We also spent 2 days at a beach bar, reading, planning, and getting our skin burned... :-(

For a bit of exercise, we booked a sunrise tour. It started at 4:30 am with a ride in a turquoise jeep to the white sand dunes...

Once we arrived at the dunes, you could pay 10€ to be driven up one of the dunes to take the perfect picture (with 100 other people in the background). We didn't do that, of course (you don't have to fall for every rip-off), and instead walked to the dunes ourselves... We also got to see the sunrise (behind a cloud) - in peace and alone...

It was a nice sunrise anyway...

... but it wasn't worth getting up so early - the dunes on Sylt can do that too (Greetings to grandma and grandpa) ;-)

Then we went on to the red dunes, with their orange-red sand! Here, you could borrow a plastic sheet to slide down the dunes... Well... After taking some pictures, we turned back and went back to the car... So far, the tour was rather disappointing - super boring and only focused on photo opportunities...

Afterwards, we continued to a fishing village. It was quite interesting to observe the scenery there, with the boats going out, coming back into the harbor, bringing their catch to the shore, weighing and sorting it, and immediately selling it...

The highlight of the tour was a small river (called 'Fairy Stream'), which you could follow along interesting rock and sand formations until you reached a small waterfall. Unfortunately, the waterfall was really small, but as they say, the journey is the destination, and that was really fun...

Super relaxing to walk in the shade with your feet in the water in the heat.

Well, that's pretty much it from Mui Ne! We didn't do much here, but rather rested and enjoyed the sunset in the evening, watching the families bathe.

However, it should be mentioned that our hostel (https://goo.gl/maps/FoWQ34WgCJBzWGwj7) was really good. In the morning, we had a nice fruit plate for breakfast (additional items could be ordered for a small extra charge), and every evening, a little something (fresh fruit, fresh juice, etc.) was brought to the room.

We then continued to the cooler mountains in Da Lat by bus, very early in the morning.

But that's another story =)

We wish everyone a wet and cheerful May and hope that everyone is doing well!!!

Warm greetings <3
