Thailand: 21h in Singapore

We booked the flight to Thailand including a 21h stay in Singapore. Our logic: That's great! Then we have time to explore the city! What we didn't consider was that after many sleepless hours we had absolutely no motivation left. Everything in Singapore is very expensive, so we booked the cheapest of the cheapest hotels at short notice. To get there, we ordered a taxi and that wasn't easy. 3h after landing, we finally found ourselves in a dingy and overpriced bed. After getting enough sleep, we used the remaining hours to explore the streets of Singapore with 7kg of carry-on luggage. Recap: Singapore is a city. It's quite nice, greener than expected, and more boring than expected. We spent unnecessary amounts of money in a short time and were even more excited for Thailand. All of this sounds very negative, but in hindsight, the visit was worth it, like everything else on our trip.
