Halte deine Schuhe trocken, den Löffel sauber und die Mütze fest. نشرت: 27.11.2018
Upon my arrival on Sunday, I already met my roommate from Mexico on the bus (unfortunately, I can't write his name). :)
My first interaction with the bus driver was very interesting. She asked me if I was over 26 years old (a question that one understands with basic French) but unfortunately, she asked so quickly that I simply didn't respond and got help from a lady on the bus. :)
In my first morning prayer, I realized how much I actually missed the spirituality of this place. It is something very special that behaves/feels differently for everyone, but beautiful.
We are about 40 participants here this week, so compared to my previous meetings, it feels very familiar and it feels like you already know everyone in some way. A very pleasant feeling, as the conversations among ourselves are sometimes very profound.
Our everyday life here looks as follows:
08:15 AM morning prayer
afterwards breakfast
10:00 AM Bible introduction followed by discussions in small groups
12:20 PM midday prayer
afterwards lunch
02:00 PM voluntary singing exercises
03:00 PM clean toilets
07:00 PM dinner
08:30 PM evening prayer
Every morning there is a Eucharistic celebration in the crypt of the church, which I will probably try out in the coming days.
